15-Month-Old Baby Meets Santa Long After Doctors Expected Him To Live

by Kendall Wood

Jaxon "Strong" Buell is 15 months old.

When he was born with microhydranencephaly, a rare developmental disorder that causes part of the skull to be missing, doctors told his parents, Brandon and Brittany, he would not live long after birth.

Despite the odds, Jaxon has lived well past doctors' predictions and has the chance to spend his second Christmas with his family.

To celebrate the holiday season, the 15-month-old miracle baby got to meet Santa Claus this year. His mother, Brittany, posted some of the beautiful photos to Facebook from Mall at Millenia in Orlando, Florida.

Jaxon's GoFundMe page raises money for his parents to help pay for his medical bills, and has brought in the attention and love of many followers, who have sent the little boy gifts for the holidays.

Jaxon's father, Brandon, posted on Facebook about an invitation from Jaxon's favorite NFL team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, to take a tour of the stadium, meet the head coach and some of the players and watch the game (which they later won)!

Today, Brandon also wrote about all the progress Jaxon is making, as he's been starting to communicate with his parents more and more.

In the video below, Brandon writes,

Jaxon was very sleepy tonight when I got home, but then started talking a lot, so I grabbed the camera. His voice is changing, he is making more sounds now, and we have never seen him rub his eyes before either! Little improvements and progressions every single day!
