Author and screenwriter Durjoy Datta and his girlfriend of four years, Avantika Mohan, already have a wedding in the works for next week, but an official proposal is something the couple never shared.

In the wee hours of Tuesday morning, Datta waited at the airport for his lady love, all the while tweeting about his devotion to her with #MarryMeAvantika.

The hashtag eventually began trending throughout India.
