The Internet Doesn't Know Who To Blame For The 5-Year-Old Who Mistook Vodka For Juice

I've been noticing for some time now that the packaging for alcoholic drinks is progressively getting more, shall we say, fun.

Between flashy Four Lokos and pretty rosé wines, it's as if these manufacturers think more people will drink their beverages if they look pretty or something.

Oh wait, that's exactly how advertising works.

Apparently, that advertising works pretty well on kids, too!

A Queensland mom was shocked to receive a call from her 5-year-old daughter's school, telling her the young girl had alcohol packed in her lunchbox.

According to Daily Mail Australia, the mom had asked her daughter earlier that morning to grab herself a juice pouch for lunch from the freezer.

The little girl picked out a brightly colored pouch, not realizing it actually contained raspberry vodka, not juice.

The mom posted the hilarious mistake on Facebook, writing,

EPIC lunchbox fail when you tell your 5-year-old Preppie to put a frozen juice pouch in her lunchbox and you forget the other pouches in your freezer!

Some got a kick out of ma's mixup.

It's all fun and games until her daughter experiences her first-ever hangover.

I don't have kids, but this definitely seems like something I would do.

Lots of moms are totally relating to this.

Although, not all of them have a sense of humor about it.

Some wonder if the mom was even sober herself that morning.

Why didn't she check the lunchbox before she sent her daughter off to school?!

The sarcasm is pretty palpable.

Thankfully, the mom didn't get into any trouble for accidentally sending her daughter to school with a little booze.

In fact, she didn't even realize her blunder until she got a call from the school.

But she was quickly able to make light of the situation when she spoke with her daughter's teachers:

I apologized for not sending enough for the teachers and they just laughed thankfully.

OK, this woman should probably find a better spot for her Smirnoff vodka sorbet pouches, but I also kind of think she's the most awesome mom ever.

Plus, wouldn't kindergarten be waaaay more interesting with a little midday Smirnoff pick-me-up?

Mmm, this is definitely why I don't have kids yet.
