Here's How Far $100 In Groceries Got 8 Different Households

How far could you make $100 stretch on groceries? Food to last a few days? A week?

Of course, it all depends on who you are. If you're buying wine and salmon every time you hit up the market, you're probably going to spend that $100 pretty quickly.

If you're a college student who is living off of ramen, you can maybe make the money last a couple weeks (but also, please see a nutritionist, you are probably dying inside.)

In this video, WatchCut and The Simple Dollar asked different people how they would spend $100 on food. I won't give too much away, but it's really interesting to see how age, income and family affect how people choose to spend their precious money.

Personally, my spending habits are probably similar to the college student who would spend the majority of her $100 on Pizza Rolls. She gets me.
