You Probably Didn't Know A Single Hair Could Be This Dangerous To A Baby

EW, EW, EW, NOOOOOOOOO! NO, NOOOOOOO!

Babies are essentially just rolling flesh blobs you're responsible for who constantly try to kill themselves. It's like owning a water balloon that has a knife fetish. If there are ways to accidentally kill or harm themselves, babies are going to find them.

Just ask parents Scott and Jessica Walker who recently became familiar with the awful concept of a hair tourniquet.

Do yourself a favor and don't Google “hair tourniquet.” It's disgusting. Thankfully, Molly, the baby pictured, is doing fine an -- you're Googling “hair tourniquet,” aren't you? OK. Take your time.

Apparently, toe-tourniquet syndrome, as the doctors call it, happens when a hair wraps around a baby's digit in the sock. BuzzFeed reports this syndrome is as dangerous as it looks, potentially leading to amputation if not addressed early enough.

So if you have a baby for some reason, remember ABC: Always be checking (his or her toes for gross medical stuff).
