Guy Had Best Response To Man Sending Him Homophobic Death Threats

Twitter

Twitter, a platform I nonetheless love, has unfortunately always been a hub for hate speech. From "Ghostbusters" star Leslie Jones having to quit Twitter recently because of all the racist tweets she had been met with, to the constant hum of homophobia and sexism, the platform can sometimes feel like a battleground.

As a straight white male, however, the worst I've really experienced is someone telling me to go fuck myself because I don't like the movie "Jurassic World." For others, unfortunately, it's extremely different.

One user, comedian Elijah Daniel, posted screenshots of a slew of homophobic death threats he began receiving in his DMs. They're exactly as shocking and horrible as you'd expect from violent homophobes on the internet.

What is unique, though, is how funny Elijah Daniel is while dealing with literally the scariest shit in the world. He realizes that the man threatening him wants to scare him, wants a rise out of him — Elijah simply refuses to give him what he wants.

It's hard to imagine how you can be keeping your cool at this.

Elijah Daniels effectively belittles the piece of shit, and then goes ahead and messages his parents.

Hopefully, this person's parents weren't the ones to teach him to hate gay people (although, I would not make any bets on that).

He tweeted out these three screenshots along with this beautiful image. It immediately went viral. And I am, as of this moment, calling for a petition to make this photograph our new national flag. Please help this become a reality.
