Man's Final Facebook Post Before His Tragic Death Will Give You Chills

by Anna Menta

For better or for worse, living in the digital age means leaving behind an echo of yourself online when you die.

Matthew DeRemer, 31, was killed in Largo, Florida when he was hit on his motorcycle by a drunk driver on New Year's Eve.

But the Facebook status and photo he posted earlier that day are haunting.

Like many of us do, Matthew took a moment on New Year's Eve reflect on where the year had taken him, but in the face of his tragic death, the passage holds so much more weight.

He wrote,

BRING ON 2016, much works to be done! And I really don't know where I'll end up tonight but I do know where I windup is where I'm meant to be.

RIP Matthew DeRemer, and may 2016 bring you peace.
