People On Twitter Are Seriously Dragging Disney's Recipe For 'Healthy Gumbo'

This Disney-approved healthy gumbo recipe has been given a lot of heat lately and not in the cooking sense.

Disney's Facebook page for "The Princess and the Frog" posted a video outlining a recipe for Princess Tiana's Healthy Gumbo.

Since it's been taken down by the Mouse House, you'll have to watch it here (with some hilariously edited intercuts of people screaming "NO!").

Many were quick to point out the ingredients provided aren't exactly those used in traditional gumbo.

I mean, kale and quinoa? This is gumbo, not some sort of healthy smoothie that I would never, ever put my lips to.

One Facebook user (and chef) said,

The ONLY thing GUMBO in this is the okra... and the shrimp.

JUST STICK TO TURKEY LEGS AND CHURROS, DISNEY!

Needless to say, Twitter organized en masse to protest the recipe, developing the trending hashtag #GumboStrong in the process.

THIS IS MY FACE WHEN I'M EATING KALE.

Leave gumbo alone, Disney.

GARY VOLUNTEERS... GARY VOLUNTEERS AS TRIBUTE!

This recipe will make anyone shake their damn head.

Don't play with, Louisiana.

Like me, Louisiana has never asked for kale... ever.

Molly still loves you, Disney. Just back away from the bowl of gumbo. Now. Spoons up where I can see 'em!

This horror of a recipe comes a little earlier than Halloween but it's still extremely scary.

Do you think there should be an FBI inquiry?

Whoa, harsh words from Smail. He really doesn't like to sugarcoat his thoughts (like a beignet).

WHERE DO THE LIES END AND THE GUMBO BEGIN?

Even Tiana would protest this.
