Photo Of Couple Having Wedding At Hospital Goes Viral For Heartbreaking Detail

An emotional photo of a newlyweds carrying their 2-year-old son through a hospital has gone completely viral.

The photo, which has probably brought thousands of people to tears based on the number of likes it's gotten, actually came from what the family described as a very joyous day.

Celia and Geff Kinzel got married on January 7 in the chapel of Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where their son, Logan, is being treated for brain cancer.

Speaking with US Weekly, Celia said,

There wasn't anything sad about it. We were worried that Logan would get sick during the ceremony. But it was the first day that he was full of energy, really happy, really talkative. He was ready to see people and be there.

Despite the fact Logan is very sick and undergoing chemotherapy at the hospital, Celia said he's still a happy little boy and a joy to be around,

He is a goofball! He loves to give kisses. When he laughs, he'll throw his head back and it's so cute! Even when he's throwing a temper tantrum, he's still super cute.

The Kinzel family seems to be a very happy and loving bunch, and it's wonderful they were able to celebrate their wedding with their son despite the circumstances.

In the now-viral photo, the Kinzel's were taking Logan back to his hospital room.

The photo was taken by Celia's mother, Megan Dempsey, who told ABC News,

I was chasing them down the hallway... They were going back up to Logan's hospital room and it was just a lucky snap of a picture. We were so happy that Logan was able to come down. It was just a nice day for Celia and Geff and a nice break from what's really been such a difficult time.

The Kinzel's other son, Rowan, who's 4, was also at the wedding, along with around 20 other guests.

Sometimes, even under stressful and heartbreaking circumstances, people can still have one of the best days of their lives.That definitely seems to be the case for the Kinzel's wedding day, and they certainly deserved it.
