Demi Lovato Almost Forgot The Lyrics To "This Is Me" From 'Camp Rock,' So That's Awkward

I think it’s safe to say that we know every lyric from the Disney Channel classic movie Camp Rock, right? But how well does one of the stars know the songs? Demi Lovato almost forgot the "This Is Me" lyrics during a recent radio show game where she was challenged to remember some of the songs from her past. Well... she almost forgot.

If you’ve seen Radio 1's Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw before, he sometimes will quiz musical guests with a game to see if they’ve emptied their heads of old song lyrics or if the words to their past songs are still occupying a little brain space.

Lovato was up for the test, so, of course, he had to see how well she remembered "This Is Me." Should be easy, right? Lovato did appear to have a momentary memory lapse when he played her the clip and asked her to sing the rest of the line. Could Lovato dig deep and deliver?

It required a little bit of thought, it turns out, but the singer ran through it quickly and landed on the right lyrics. If you’re playing along at home, Lovato was quizzed on this lyric:

This is real
This is me
I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be now
Gonna let the light shine on me

Of course, she hasn’t wholesale left Camp Rock behind her, as she’s sung "This Is Me" with Joe Jonas in the recent past and fingers are crossed that the two will give the classic tune another go when she goes on tour soon for her new album, Tell Me You Love Me. Hey, special guest stars are always a hit, especially with a Lovato and Jonas Camp Rock reunion.

It’s all good, she’s got this one (phew!), finishing the line:

Now I've found who I am
There's no way to hold it in

Grimshaw really pulled out the stops on this lyrical game, as he threw it way back for Lovato. Um, did you even know about this song she recorded before her Disney fame? I’m a fan and somehow never knew about the song “Moves Me.” Shameful, I know.

Grimshaw explained that it’s a song Lovato recorded when she was just 13 years old and the video clip of a super young Lovato is about the cutest thing ever. Lovato noted: “It was one of the first songs I ever recorded ... I haven’t heard this song in so long,” predicting that she wouldn’t remember the lyrics.

The lyrics she was tested on are:

Your love runs deep within my soul
And I can't let go
You'll never leave me
‘Cause I know
That you are the one for me

Despite the fact that this song doesn’t ever come up nor does it hold much meaning for Lovato, the singer still manages to deliver the goods, finishing the line:

You're the one that moves me
You're the one that sees right through me

And, yeah, seeing that teensy clip sent me running to YouTube to find the full video. Here it is. You’re welcome.

Fans were crazy excited that Grimshaw brought up the old tune, with tweets like: "Demi remembering the lyrics to Moves Me has made my 2017" and "Demi did so much better in the lyrics game than I thought she would who knew she’d remember moves me."

I’m seriously impressed too.

The third song she was asked to remember the lyrics for was "Rascacielo," the Spanish version of '"Skyscraper.” So, how did she do? Uh. Not great, but that was a total trick question.
