Playboy Model Says Her Dad Killed Himself Because Of Her Nude Photos

by Emily Arata

A former Playboy model who unwittingly sacrificed family for fame took to tabloids, discussing a personal loss that happened six years ago.

Loredana Chivu, a 25-year-old Romanian model, first posed for her country's edition of Playboy at the age of 18. When the nude images were published, Chivu's father was heartbroken.

The pair fought and stopped speaking for months as Chivu's father attempted to cut her out of the family.

When Chivu decided the fight had gone on long enough, she visited her father's home, only to reportedly find he'd committed suicide.

She told press, "One of the worst things is not knowing, he didn't seem to have any pressing problems at the time apart from our argument."

"...I never would have thought he was a weak man who would take his own life."

"On the contrary, he was full of life, he enjoyed having fun."

While even psychologists don't know exactly what leads a person to suicide, it's doubtful it's "weakness" of character.

Chivu, who still models throughout Romania, has gone on to lead a successful career.

It's debatable whether the Bucharest-based model shared the story for personal gain or to spread awareness about the potential risks of a career choice to sell sex through images.
