109-Year-Old Woman Claims Her Secret To A Long Life Is Avoiding Men (Video)
On Jan. 2, Jessie Gallan celebrated her 109th birthday.
In an interview with STV News, Scotland's oldest woman shared her tips and tricks to leading a long, healthy life -- and her advice may just be some of the best we've ever heard.
The centenarian's secret weapon against aging is, simply, to avoid men, whom she insists are “more trouble than they're worth.” (Cue every woman in the world nodding in agreement.)
In addition to swearing off troublesome men, Gallan says she always gets "plenty of exercise," eats porridge every day and avoids marriage.
In fact, the 109-year-old still exercises once a week (!) and makes sure to “fill every day” with various activities to keep herself busy at the elderly care home where she lives in Aberdeen, Scotland.
We couldn't think of better advice -- men are exhausting -- or a better role model than the spunky Jessie Gallan. Happy Birthday, Jessie, and keep on doing your thing!
