Determined Octopus Attempts To Climb Out Of Its Tank And Escape (Video)

Forget everything you thought you knew about octopi.

What looks funny and sometimes even cute frolicking along the ocean floor becomes a little bit scarier once outside its natural habitat.

That's the main takeaway of this video filmed at the Seattle Aquarium on Feb. 26.

Tired of being gawked at by ignorant humans, an octopus attempted to escape from its enclosure and would have succeeded if it weren't for one brave staff member, who slipped its tentacles back inside the tank.

An endless array of sci-fi movies comes to mind at the sight of the creature's long limbs slowly oozing over the top of its tank.

Expect further uprisings to occur once the rest of the population realizes how delicious these things taste.
