Guy Steals Woman's Car Instead Of Her Heart While On First Date

Everyone, at some point, has suffered through an awful first date; it's inevitable.

But even the most cringeworthy of dates can't compare to the sh*tshow one poor New Jersey woman had to endure.

Luckily, it makes for a damn good story.

The anonymous woman had connected with a man, who introduced himself as Gennaro “Gooch” Aladena, via an online dating service.

After some time talking, the two planned to meet in person for a first date on Feb. 26.

Somehow during the date, Aladena -- later identified by police as 53-year-old Gerald Tietz -- reportedly nabbed his date's keys and made off with her car.

Luckily for the woman, Tietz is not the smartest criminal: He left her original “JRSYGRL” vanity plates on the car.

This past weekend, Tietz was apprehended after the stolen ride was spotted (vanity plates still intact!) in Cherry Hill, NJ.

The Waterford Township police confirms Tietz has since been arrested, though it remains unclear if the car has been returned to its rightful owner yet.

Talk about an unforgettable date.
