Lucas D'Onofrio popped the question to his high school sweetheart on the day of her last chemotherapy session, and the proposal will turn you into a puddle of tears.

The soon-to-be Mrs. D'Onofrio was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in February of this year.

After she was diagnosed, doctors put her on a six-session chemotherapy regimen that ended this past weekend.

D'Onofrio decided to celebrate the ending of this chapter in their life together by getting down on one knee in her hospital room.
