Well, it turns out that jealous teen isn't the only one who's done some seriously effed up things in the name of love.
Brandi Worley, a 30-year-old woman from Darlington, Indiana, killed her two young children after her husband, Jason Worley, filed for divorce.
Police report Worley also stabbed herself in the neck after taking the lives of her children.
Emergency operators then received a phone call. The woman casually admitted to murdering her kids, according to Mark Casteel, the Montgomery County Sheriff.
The emergency operator claims Worley called 911 around 4:30 am on Thursday and allegedly said,
I just stabbed myself and killed my two children.
Fox59 reports police then rushed to Worley's residence, where they found 7-year-old Tyler and 3-year-old Charlie dead in one of the bedrooms inside the home.
However, information has yet to be released on how these two young children died.
Apparently, the children's father was sleeping in the basement of the home, totally unaware of the heartbreaking scene unfolding upstairs.
According to police, there was no prior history of violence in the Worley home and their shocked neighbors say the family never showed any signs of trouble.
However, the Lafayette Journal & Courier reports the couple had filed for divorce one day prior to this horrific incident.
Investigators say Worley confessed to both killings in a very “matter of fact” manner.
Sheriff Casteel stated,
She did admit to doing it and I don't want to get into additional details at this point. We are not used to dealing with things like this.
Worley was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital where she was treated for stab wounds on her neck.
Authorities will conduct autopsies on the children this Friday.
