Boy Gets Amazing Surprise After Stopping Man From Jumping Off A Bridge

A recent post by Humans of Dublin has all of the people of the Internet holding back tears at their work desks today.

The incredible story of how Jamie Harrington saved the life of a suicidal man was posted by photographer Peter Varga to Dublin's Humans of New York-inspired page.

Since the post went up, it accrued over 35,000 likes and over 3,600 shares.

In the post, Jamie explains how he approached a crying man he saw sitting on a ledge.

After simply asking, "Are you OK," Jamie was able to talk the man out of jumping and eventually get him to a hospital.

Thankfully, the story had a remarkably happy ending. Jamie said,

And about three months ago, he texted me that his wife is pregnant, they're having a boy, and they're naming him after me. Can you believe that? They're going to name their child after me.

Solid cry, everyone. We all needed that.
