This Real-Life Hero Is Fighting Off Creepy Clowns While Dressed As Batman

I was Batman for Halloween two years in a row in elementary school. Like many little kids, I dreamed of growing up to fight crime as a caped crusader.

Years later, I'm still a nerd. But sadly, I do not spend my nights wearing a mask and beating criminals to a pulp.

Fortunately, there is someone else out there living my dream in Cumbria, England.

In response to the recent rise in creepy clown incidents – which seem to have spread from the US to the UK – a local costume store, Cumbria Superheroes, decided to send out someone dressed as Batman in order to address the issue and keep the streets safe, Mashable reports.

Best news ever?

The local BBC shared photos of the caped crusader on Facebook with the caption,

'Crazy clowns' beware... Batman is in Whitehaven. Cumbria Superheroes heard that many children had been left traumatised by the clowns lurking around the town. So now, Batman is patrolling the streets so that kids (and adults?) can feel at ease.

This is fantastic for so many reasons.

First of all, fuck anyone dressing up as a clown to scare little kids... and adults, for that matter. Do something better with your time, you pathetic morons.

This trend of dressing as a clown to freak people out was never funny to begin with, and it's especially not amusing given that people have actually been seriously hurt in the process.

I'm glad to see someone standing up to these jackasses. It's also amazing to see someone literally dressed as Batman chasing clowns off the streets.

This is basically the closest we're ever going to get to seeing Batman duke it out with the Joker in real life.

Superheroes do exist.

With that said, let's hope all these idiots dressing up as clowns cease and desist ASAP. If not, I guess Batman will just have to ruin their day, and make them look even more foolish than they already do.
