These Adorable Kids 'Voting' Will Get You Through This Stressful Election Day
One of the great joys of such a horrifying election year is seeing adorable children be blissfully unaware of just how hateful things have gotten -- or, at the very least, having them know something's up but still be more excited about voting than freaked out or overwhelmed.
This morning on the subway to work, I saw a little girl wearing an "I Voted" sticker on the train with her dad. She was holding a "HilYes" button and asked her dad where the best place to put it on her shirt would be.
When they got off the train, the mother of a little boy sitting next to them spontaneously called out for them to have a good day.
The little girl yelled, "Go vote!"
The little boy yelled back, "We already did!"
It was enough to make me feel good about this whole day, even if I'm otherwise totally miserable and scared.
Because at the end of the day, voting is awesome. For many of these children, they get to experience this right for the first time, and should Hillary Clinton win, they'll have participated in history.
Sweet, huh?
Regardless of all that history stuff, kids are just really cute.
So here's a bunch of cute kids at the polls:
