Pastor Believes More LGBT People Should Have Died In Orlando Shooting

A Baptist preacher of the Verity Baptist Church in Sacramento, California refuses to mourn the victims of the Orlando shooting, and in fact believes the real tragedy is that "more of them didn't die."

Um, excuse me?

According to the Washington Post, Pastor Roger Jimenez gave a 45-minute sermon this past Sunday, in which, among other vile things, he said Christians "shouldn't be mourning the death of these 50 sodomites" and claimed the deaths of gay people "help society."

Right, because members of the LGBT community are such an ENDANGERMENT TO YOUR SAFETY.

He continued:

As Christians, we should not be taking a sympathetic approach to these types of news and saying: 'This was a tragedy, this is something that we're sad about, we should be mourning these people' ... The Bible teaches that they're all predators. That's all the Bible says about them: They're wicked, they're vile, they're predators. And God says that they deserve the death penalty for what they do.

My favorite part of this sermon is when Jiminez pretends to not advocate violence but then advocates violence. He doesn't believe Christians should go out and kill these "sodomites" themselves, he said, but he wishes the government would "round them all up, put them up against a firing wall, put a firing squad in front of them and blow their brains out."

There are so many more horrific quotes I could pull, but you really should give the sermon a listen for yourself, if only to quell your disbelief that people this ass backwards still exist in 2016. You can also watch the video of the sermon if you want to look at Jimenez's stupid fucking face while he speaks. Up to you.
