Viral Video Of Guy Torturing 'New GF' Is Just A Creepy Hoax, Police Find

Following the emergence of a creepy YouTube video entitled, "Hi Walter! I got a new gf today!," police in Antigo, Wisconsin relaunched an investigation into the case of a missing woman, Kayla Berg.

The YouTube video, which has since been removed from the site "for violating YouTube's Community Guidelines," showed a man talking about a new girl in his life.

Fine, right?

Well, then the last 14 seconds of the video take a dark turn when he reveals a screaming woman gagged and tied up on a bathroom floor.

WARNING: The following video is graphic.

The video was posted on October 11, 2009, but only recently went viral as a possible link to the disappearance of Kayla Berg.

According to reports, Berg's mom said the young woman in the video could be her daughter. She said,

It sounded like her, looked like her, it gave me chills. Disturbing. It made me sick to my stomach. The clothing could be a big possibility. We do believe she was wearing that type of shirt, we know she had jeans.

After the video went viral, a spokesperson for the Antigo Police Department said,

The Antigo Police Department has recently been made of a YouTube video titled: Hi Walter It's Me Patrick Video- I have a new girlfriend. This video was originally posted in October 2009, but has recently gone viral and many believe it is connected to our missing person Kayla Berg.

However, it now appears this video of a guy torturing his "new girlfriend" is nothing but a horrible, creepy hoax.

A spokesperson for the Antigo Police Department said,

The Antigo Police with the help of another law enforcement agency has been able to identify that this video is 100% fake and was a video that was produced to be placed on The Antigo Police Department has identified the video producer/camera man, actor and actress in the video. THIS VIDEO HAS NO CONNECTION TO THE DISAPPEARANCE OF KAYLA BERG.

If the above is true, this is about as distasteful a joke as you'll ever see. My heart goes out to Kayla Berg's mom and the rest of her family and friends.

Hopefully, real news will break about Kayla Berg in the immediate future.
