There are certain topics you should never make light of, and September 11, 2001, definitely qualifies. It's a day that's etched into the memories of the vast majority of Americans.

But apparently, a group of British men who said they were at a bachelor party didn't get the memo. These disrespectful individuals reportedly took selfies with a sex doll at Ground Zero, where thousands of people died.

You don't have to be a genius to realize this is just plain wrong. It's not about being politically correct, it's a matter of being a decent person.

Who raised these guys?

9/11 was the worst attack ever on US soil -- nearly 3,000 people were killed -- and these men basically turned into one big joke.

There's no excuse for this.

This happened just a few days before the fifteenth anniversary of one of the worst tragedies in US history.

A police officer ultimately asked the men, who said they were from London, to leave the location as they were making quite a scene.

Rosanne Hughes, 61, from the New Jersey 9/11 Memorial Foundation, lost her husband in the terror attacks that occurred that awful day. Quite understandably, she was deeply offended by what these men did at Ground Zero.

Speaking with Daily Mail, she said,

I'm speechless. I don't even have any words for that - that's a disgrace. That is sacred ground, I lost my husband and I don't even know what to say - it's disgusting. We hear things like this and I honestly think it's disgraceful to take selfies of anybody there laughing and smiling when they haven't lived the life we've lived for 15 years and the people we've lost.

Indeed, for many people, the pain of 9/11 never truly goes away. This group of men should've thought about that before they decided to act like buffoons on hallowed ground.
