Middle Schoolers Playing Led Zeppelin Medley On Xylophones Is Amazing (Video)

by Gillian Fuller

You haven't heard a proper cover until you've heard the Louisville Leopard Percussionists' xylophone renditions of classic Led Zeppelin songs.

The 22-year-old musical ensemble, based in Louisville, KY, is made up of 55 student musicians between 7 and 12 years old, all of whom are familiar with several instruments, including the piano, drums and timbales.

Last year, the group gathered on camera to rehearse a three-part medley, composed of three Led Zeppelin songs: "Kashmir," "The Ocean" and "Immigrant Song." The catch? The bit is performed almost entirely on xylophones.

This is easily the most impressive instrumental cover you'll ever hear; the fact that the performers are as young as 7 years old only makes the piece more mind-blowing.

And get this: The video, filmed last year, is only going viral now because Jimmy Page himself recently shared it on his own Facebook page.

If he approves, you know these kids have something seriously special.

Without further ado, check out the amazing Zeppelin renditions up top and learn more about the Louisville Leopard Percussionists here.
