Anyone who has ever tried salvia knows it's not to be taken lightly. While it is generally categorized with the weed family, it is in fact derived from the mint leaf family; most commonly as a sage plant. The name itself derives from Latin origins meaning "to feel well, healthy, to heal." This last effect has prompted concern about the dangers of driving under the influence of salvinorin.

While salvia may not produce long trips you know from your own experience, or that of your friends, that's it's the wildest few minutes you will ever have in your life. Many a dangerous and disturbing things can happen in those few minutes and it should no longer be taken so lightly.
