The Law of Attraction: 4 Ways To Manifest The Success You Deserve
Manifesting has become a big buzzword ever since "The Secret" became popular.
Life coaches and motivational speakers constantly teach the power of manifesting the destiny we desire.
So, what exactly does manifesting mean, and is this all just a bunch of new-age crapola?
I personally believe strongly in the power of attraction. Our thoughts create an energy flow and that energy attracts its likeness.
That’s why if you’re focusing on how much your day is sucking, guess what? You will attract a crappier experience.
Alternatively, if you’re in a great headspace and focus on all there is to be grateful for in your day, you’ll have a much more positive experience, and attract positive things into your life.
So, how do you put this process of willing abundance into your life? Follow these steps:
1. Get very clear
Gabby Bernstein (manifestation guru) stresses the importance of having very clear intentions for what you want to bring into your life.
If it’s a new job that you want, make a list of all that comes with the job that will make you happy. Maybe it’s the office, the higher salary, the better job title.
Knowing exactly what you want begins the creation process, and writing it down makes it even more powerful.
Research has shown you are 42 percent more likely to achieve your goals if you simply write them down. Most importantly, focus on how all these things will ultimately make you feel.
At the end of the day, the goal is to be able to capture the feeling these accomplishments will produce (proud, respected, independent, worthy, etc.)
Write down all of the positive feelings that will come as a result of attaining your desires.
2. Feel it and believe it
Now, take these clear intentions and set aside time every day to sit in the feelings you desire. Maybe it’s the first thing you do every morning or the last thing before bed (or both).
Make this like your daily meditation, where you visualize yourself already in this successful position.
Maybe you see yourself in the new office, running your business or driving the new car you always wanted. The more you feel it, the more you will be able to truly believe it is on its way to you.
You must feel as though all you want is already present in your life. You want to be a published author? Tell yourself you’re already published.
Tell yourself you are already running a successful company. Convince yourself, then let the universe do its job.
3. Clear up mental blocks
You can tell the universe what you want all day, but if you believe you’re not deserving of success or aren't good enough for the better job or higher salary, you will stay stuck where you are.
Take a look at what limiting beliefs are holding you back or keeping you fearful. We all have self-doubt and worry about stepping out of our comfort zones.
You must recognize them and understand that these limiting beliefs are simply stories you’ve been telling yourself.
They are just bullsh*t lies that you’ve learned from past failures or experiences, and not the truth or the reality.
Once you are able to clear these doubts, fears and BS stories of not being deserving or good enough, you’ll be able to open up yourself to receive.
4. Be patient
When you’re certain that things will happen (see step two), you will be able to wait for them patiently and without anxiety.
Trying to manipulate and force things to happen more quickly than they are supposed to is just another way to mess up what the universe is trying to bring your way.
Be sure that you're taking action every day that will bring you closer to your goals, but understand that nothing can be rushed.
I understand this kind of talk can seem far-fetched, but of course, I’m not suggesting you write down what you want and then just sit back on your couch and wait for it to happen.
As you’re visualizing what you want and really feeling how amazing it is to achieve it, you’ll find that you’re even more inspired to go out and do what it takes to make it happen.
As you become clearer on exactly what you want, you can start taking specific actions that are necessary.
It’s about accessing your subconscious or your “energy,” and waking it up to take action.
