However, there's nothing quite like the special bond between a mother and her daughter.

You can always count on Mom to love you unconditionally, and no matter how infuriating she may be at times, you know you would never trade your relationship with her for anything in the world.

Our mothers are supposed to guide us through life, so if there's one thing moms are good at, it's giving us all sorts of advice, whether we want to hear it or not.

We've all heard the saying,

Mom always knows best.

However, most of us don't realize how true this actually is until we reach adulthood.

Yep, our moms have been around the block a few times, so when they try to instill their wisdom in us, it's usually for pretty good reasons.

Sometimes, the advice can be something as simple as, “Never leave the house without lipstick,” because, let's face it, the world is an unpredictable place where you always want to look your best.

Other times, the advice relates to important lessons you'll carry with you through life, like, “It's better to learn things for yourself rather than depend on others.”

Whatever advice your mother passed down to you over the years, one thing is for sure: At some point in time, she was probably right.
