7 Fan-Favorite Fictional Virgos We've Grown To Love In Pop Culture

It's a fact that Virgos are pretty damn special. Between our abilities to efficiently complete just about any task that comes our way with gusto, and our down-to-earth personalities, it should come as no surprise some of the best characters in pop culture are also Virgos.

Without tooting our own horns too much, I like to think we're the backbone of society. Virgos are, after all, natural-born leaders with the brains to match. We might be a little strung out at times, but that doesn't stop us from accomplishing what we need to do.

Without further ado, here are some of your fictional favorites who just happen to be Virgos.

1. Hermione Granger

Not to be biased, but it shouldn't be shocking the best character from "Harry Potter" is a Virgo. Let's face it: Ron and Harry wouldn't have made it past the first book if it hadn't been for Hermione's brains.

As the most intelligent of the trio, Hermione was also a terrific friend, whose bravery and loyalty never wavered. Also, she organized an entire movement for house elf rights!

How very Virgo of her.

It's no wonder young women from all over the world look up to her.

2. Adrian Monk

As our most beloved, obsessive-compulsive detective to ever hit television, Adrian Monk remains a classic USA network favorite. Even after eight seasons of laughter, tears and everything in-between, there wasn't a single crime he couldn't crack.

Without Adrian Monk, the streets of San Francisco never would've stood a chance. His attention to detail assisted him in solving cases, and his heart showed us anyone can be a hero.

Also, how cool was it that someone with OCD became such a loved character? Talk about representation.

3. Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish

While Littlefinger is far from a beloved fan favorite, he falls perfectly within the Virgo category. This just goes to show you what happens when someone turns to the dark side.

As a master of schemes (We still haven't forgiven you for Ned Stark's death!), Littlefinger is arguably one of the most brilliant, diabolical, game players on the show. His attention to detail and his analytical mind makes him a perfect businessman.

But even so, his treatment of Sansa is disturbing, to say the least.

4. Velma Dinkley

Scooby-Doo, where are you? Velma probably knows because Velma knows everything.

Between Daphne's distractions and Fred's, er, whatever Fred does, Velma is the true leader of the gang. Always the rational voice and guiding light of knowledge, Velma should've gotten more credit than she did.

Without her, absolutely no mysteries would've been solved, and Shaggy would still be running away from the "ghosts." Velma, here's to you. Now, if only she could stop losing her damn glasses.

5. Gwen Stacy

If you made it through both of "The Amazing Spider-Man" movies without tearing up at Emma Stone's performance of Gwen Stacy, you're stronger than most of us. Not only was Gwen a certified genius (even Peter, resident superhero nerd, was in awe), she had a giant heart to match.

Through thick and thin, Gwen stood by Peter's side while pursuing her own dreams. If we're being perfectly honest, I think most of us are still recovering from her untimely death. Damn you, Stan Lee.

6. Seth Cohen

Seth Cohen is everyone's favorite snarky teen. Yes, we Virgos can be quite sarcastic and melodramatic, but only when the situation calls for it.

While Seth had his diva moments, he also had his lightbulb scenes. With his dry wit and never-ending supply of quips (at Ryan's expense), Seth was a Virgo to the core.

But, a secret you might not know about Virgos, is they are extremely sensitive. As someone who was never been afraid to make his feelings known, Seth Cohen truly embodies all the traits of a Virgo.

7. Zazu

If you're a fan of "The Lion King," you might come to recognize Zazu as the classic Virgo, right down to the shrill screaming and constant nagging. But in his defense, you would also be a little high strung if you were in charge of two careless lions who just insist on wandering into danger.

As a Virgo, Zazu is a perfectionist to a T, and he is the embodiment of every Virgo who has ever had to be in charge of something. If he had it his way, Simba would've spent his day doing something productive.

But alas, disappointment is something all Virgos face.
