An NYC Apartment With A Shower In The Kitchen Can Be Yours For $1,795 (Photo)

There are fundamentally useless debates concerning what constitutes a "real" New Yorker, but one universal trait involves paying over $1,000 a month for rent and telling yourself that's a normal thing people do.

There are certain things you can do to reduce your cost of living, and they either involve moving to a different state or learning to live with certain features no sane person should ever consider acceptable.

You never know what surprises may lie inside apartments that were built when the nation was still reeling from the aftermath of Lincoln's assassination, but they're probably going to involve fixtures in places they don't belong.

Take, for example, this shower conveniently situated in the kitchen of an apartment on the Lower East Side of Manhattan (it is not a kitchen located in the bathroom as I was initially led to believe).

The slightly unconventional one bedroom apartment can be yours for just $1,795 a month, but can you really put a price on being able to say you live in an apartment with a shower in the kitchen?

That wasn't a rhetorical question. You can put a price on it, and it's definitely lower than $1,795.
