You should never underestimate the power of old people.
Don't believe me? Just ask Kenneth Leverich.
Leverich is a former Junior Olympic weightlifter and CrossFit champ who recently teamed up with Thrillist and Smith & Forge to play a hilarious prank that proves you should always respect you elders, even at the gym.
In the YouTube video, you can see Leverich undergo an epic transformation as special effects makeup artist Dan Gilbert flexes his skills and turns the young athlete into elderly man who truly looks old AF.
Then, this geriatric jokester throws on a classic old man cardigan and heads over to the iconic outdoor gym, Muscle Beach, in Venice, California to show some of the young weight-lifting whippersnappers a thing or two about tossing tin.
After letting some of the lifters in on his old fashion fitness secrets (like, you know, swapping out those store-bought supplements for some prune juice), Leverich gets to work and starts lifting weights like a damn 80-year-old legend.
As you can imagine, everyone basically loses their minds over this cardigan-clad grandpa's extreme strength, and it doesn't take long for Leverich to find himself in a battle of brawn with one of the other Muscle Beach bros.
After a couple reps, old man Leverich puts the juvenile juice head to shame, and he has us all asking the loser lifter one simple question: "Do you even lift, bro?"
