This Octopus Was Actually Trained To Take Photos Of Aquarium Visitors (Video)

by Robert Anthony

If you woke up tomorrow as an octopus, how would you continue to live the rest of your life?

That's a strange question, I know, but it allows us to wonder -- what exactly do octopuses do all day long besides be creepy and slimy? In a recent video uploaded to YouTube by Sony New Zealand, we're introduced to a picture-taking octopus.

Yes, there's an octopus capable of snapping photos of aquarium guests from inside its tank at the Sea Life Aquarium in New Zealand.

According to the video's description, Rambo (that's its name) was able to learn how to take a photo in three easy tries. Now that's a smart octopus! The video was shot to promote Sony's new water-resistant Sony Cyber-shot TX30 camera.
