Mom Documents Her Baby's First Year With Hilariously Honest Drawings

While having a child can be a wonderful experience, motherhood can also be quite challenging.

As a new mom, Lucy Scott is no stranger to the struggles of raising an infant.

This Scottish illustrator recently created a book titled "Doodle Diary of a New Mom." She transformed the good, the bad and the downright ugly of having a newborn baby into a hilarious series of doodles.

Her brutally honest illustrations show what really happens when you decide to bring your very own bundle of joy into the world, and we'll let you in on a secret: It doesn't look very pretty.

Scott's comical drawings of sore nipples, stretch marks, incessant crying and explosive sh*ts clue you in on all the things no one told you about becoming a mom. And her comical book might just make you think twice about becoming a mother yourself one day.

Take a look at the photos below to see Scott's hilarious motherhood doodles.

Lucy Scott highlights the struggles of being a new mom.

Nice try. You ain't seeing sh*t, Mom.

You totally look the same after having kids, right?

I'll do anything. Please just make it stop!

About 45 minutes of packing to go on a 20-minute walk? Yep, seems about right.

There's nothing more enjoyable than breastfeeding in a public bathroom stall.

Sh*t gets real when you become a new mom -- really, disgustingly real.

When you're not covered in actual sh*t, you're still too pooped to do anything fun.

Sleep training? More like nipple amputation training.

There are always new challenges you never even knew existed -- like reaching your phone. It's so close... yet sooo far.

Eventually, you learn the tricks of the trade and start to get the hang of motherhood.
