I don't know much about makeup, but I do know I like things that are cheap, work well and are named after mythical creatures.

Hence why most of my cosmetic products come from E.L.F.

Now I find out there's also a secret hidden compartment in the very popular moisturizing lipsticks?!

I love secrets.

Thanks to @spoopykitten, people first took notice of the bottom of their lipsticks.

Obviously, minds were blown.

Cheap girls around the world celebrated.

At first, users innocently assumed it was a lip balm. But, it turns out, we were just at the surface of this great mystery...

The creative director of E.L.F. cosmetics Achelle Richards has left us shook up.

The little hidden cranny of what we assumed to be lip balm is actually there for you to sample while in the store. (On your hand, not on your mouth, you dirty weirdo.)

She said,

We know the best way to color match is to see the actual product. So we designed our moisturizing lipsticks to hold the lipstick formula in the base of the componentry. This feature makes it easier to color match, and we love that it's been a surprise and delight for many of our fans.

It makes me wonder what other secrets my cosmetic bag may be hiding?
