This Chipotle Is Adding A Drive-Thru Window And We're All So, So Jealous

Ohio-based burrito fans are in for a real treat. Chipotle is adding a drive-thru window at one of its Ohio locations, Today reports. The beloved burrito company is calling its new concept a "vehicular pickup window," and it pretty much means that you can order your burrito with extra guac and never, ever leave your car.

There's no word on why only one lucky location is getting this amazing amenity, and hopefully more Chipotles will follow its lead. In the meantime, I might need to embark on a road trip just to test it out.

Alas, a vehicular pickup window isn't the first new thing Chipotle is trying. The fast casual restaurant is also testing out queso at its New York City test kitchen, NEXT Kitchen. The new queso is reportedly made without added colors, flavors, or preservatives. So that makes it sort of healthy, right?

According to Eater, Chipotle CEO Steve Ells said in an internal memo to employees that it was difficult to make a queso dip that lives up to the company's quality standards. However, Chipotle is trying to create the perfect one because "all of our competitors sell queso, and we know some customers don't come to Chipotle because we don't offer it."

It's true. But the guac!

While I'm sincerely hoping that the new dip makes it to the regular menu, I'm also intrigued by the dessert Chipotle tested at NEXT Kitchen earlier this year: Mexican buñuelos (well, Chipotle-style ones). These were fried tortillas drizzled with honey, sugar, and cinnamon.

They sure know how to keep us burrito lovers on our toes!

And to think, diners at that one #blessed Ohio location will soon be able to drive through the vehicular pickup window and grab a full-on feast without having to find a parking spot or stand in long a line.

Extra guac, queso dip, dessert, drive-thru windows... I'm so, so jealous. Again, road trip, anyone?
