Everyone knows the best time to explore the world is when you are young.
Remember when we showed you the couple who built a tiny house on wheels and went on the ultimate road trip?
Well apparently, those two aren't the only ones with serious cases of the travel bug.
After reaching the conclusion there's more to life than white picket fences and a two-car garage, Matt and Jessica Johnson decided to ditch the American Dream and pursue their own dreams of exploring the world.
So in 2008, Matt and Jessica quit their jobs and sold their belongings in order to raise enough money to buy a boat for their adventure.
Neither Matt nor Jessica had any sailing experience, so they spent three years learning the tricks of the trade before they left everything behind and began their ocean endeavors in August of 2011.
Since setting sail, they have traveled to over 16 countries across the Caribbean and South America.
Take a look at the pictures below to see their amazing adventures.
Meet Matt and Jessica Johnson.
In 2008, they decided to give up their ordinary lives...
...and pursue an epic adventure on the high seas.
According to Jessica, "Our lives were the typical American Dream. Go to school, get married, buy a house, start a career. So far we've also left out the part of having 2.5 kids...
"...for too long we had spent all of our weekends in front of the TV without ever doing anything productive or enjoyable. We realized this needed to change.”
Matt and Jessica quit their jobs and sold everything they owned and bought a sailboat.
After learning how to sail, the couple set off in 2011 and have been living it up on the high seas ever since.
However, these two aren't the only crew members on board.
In 2012, they adopted a cat named Georgie that now accompanies them on all of their grand ocean endeavors.
Jessica told Daily Mail, "She does very well with the sailing and is more steady on her feet than we are...
"...she loves sitting on the deck and watching the fish over the side of the boat when we are at anchor."
This furry little sailor even knows how to swim.
The nautical couple now lives on approximately $1,000 a month...
...as they sail through waters across the world.
So far, they've been to 16 different countries...
Including the Bahamas, Peru, Jamaica and Cuba...
..and they've seen some pretty incredible sights along the way.
