Stop Everything: Cheetos Popcorn May Be Coming To A Theater Near You

One of the most difficult parts of going to the movies is deciding what snacks to buy.

However, it's about to get a lot easier thanks to Frito-Lay. Over the past week at CinemaCon, a theater convention held by the National Association of Theatre Owners at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, the snack company created quite the buzz.

It's all thanks to the company's sampling and testing of Cheetos Popcorn. That's right, Frito-Lay was testing out a new product that may eventually make its way into movie theaters around the country -- and rightfully so.

I mean, if you've ever had a bag of Cheetos before, you know transforming these cheese puffs into popcorn would be epic.

As of right now, the company is looking to continue testing the product before considering mass production. If you think about it, it's clear why: That's a lot of cheese powder and yellow food coloring.

In a recent statement emailed to USA Today, Alexia Allina, Frito-Lay's spokesperson revealed,

As a company, we're always innovating and testing new product concepts to see what resonates best with our consumers. Cheetos Popcorn is still in the very early development stages. As soon as we have more details to share, we'll let you know.

And just like that, regular popcorn just isn't enough to satisfy us!
