Artist Flawlessly Paints Iconic Works Of Art Onto Delicious Cakes (Photos)

We've all seen over-the-top confections almost too pretty to eat.

But when it comes to whipping up some treats to really look like works of art, no one does it better than Maria A. Aristidou.

For her latest project, titled "Art on Cakes," Aristidou set out to create a series of cakes inspired by some of the most famous paintings in the world.

Aristidou created these fine works of dessert for the Vienna Boutique Cake Gallery in Larnaca, Cyprus, and all of her cake paintings are seriously on point.

She baked the cakes using the boutique's signature chocolate recipe and then covered them in sugar paste before transforming them into mouthwatering masterpieces with edible paints.

It took Aristidou between six and 10 hours to completely paint each of these colorful confections, and there's no denying all of her cakes look simply fabulous.

Take a look at the pictures below to see her amazing "Art on Cakes" collection.
