As one beautiful One Direction superstar jumps out of the ol' dating market to raise a baby, another jumps back in after a two-year hiatus.

Recent 1D defector Zayn Malik has called off his engagement to Perrie Edwards, leaving the Little Mix singer in pieces.

A source told People,

She's been putting on a brave face as Little Mix have had promotion to do, but she's obviously devastated.

The couple, who have been engaged since August of 2013, put on a united front this spring when Malik quit his boy band in favor of a solo career.

Since Malik reached out to her to end the engagement two weeks ago, Edwards removed her wedding ring, as evidenced by a recent photo on fellow Little Mix-er Jesy Nelson's Instagram.
