Snoop Dogg knows how to connect to his audience no matter what decade it is. A lot of that has to do with his timeless music, but there's no denying a major contributing factor is his love for the ganja.

To start monetizing that love, the rapper/actor/football coach decided to create his very own weed platform called Merry Jane, set to launch in October.

Media entrepreneur Ted Chung announced Snoop's major move into the digital media industry in San Diego yesterday, and he described the website as a hub for anyone interested in marijuana.

In a video from the announcement, Snoop said,

Merry Jane is cannabis 2.0. [It will be] a crossroads of pot culture, business, politics, health.

This is only the beginning of a very competitive marijuana industry, and that's good news for stoners everywhere.
