If Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are proof of one thing, it's that when a big, fancy event comes along, there's no better arm candy than your BFF.

Remember when they showed up to the Grammy Awards in February arm-in-arm? They accepted an award together, and they even cried together.

Well, get ready for round two, because Selena and Taylor are going to Monday's Met Gala together in Manhattan.

“We are going together. It's so fun. It's gonna be the best. It's kind of prom for fashion," Selena told Access Hollywood.

Rolling up to an event with Taylor Swift is never not a big deal, but Selena truly does have the ultimate Met Gala date this year -- Taylor is the 2016 celebrity chair.

The theme for fashion's big night is Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, so get ready for some seriously futuristic looks.

At last year's event, Selena stunned in white Vera Wang.

Taylor, on the other hand, was a no-show in 2015. She was in Tokyo on her 1989 tour.
