There's A Petition To Remove Raven-Symoné From 'The View'

Raven-Symoné has been quite the controversy-starter as of late.

"The View" cohost has made some questionable statements regarding race and other contentious topics over the past several months, and it's all finally coming to a head.

One comment the former Disney channel star made suggested she wouldn't hire someone with a "black-sounding" name:

More recently, Symoné also weighed in on the video of a Spring Valley High School police officer assaulting a black female student, implying the student brought it upon herself by using her cell phone during school.

Fed up with Symoné's commentary, UK woman Che Scott-Heron initiated a petition on, asking "The View" creator Barbara Walters to remove the former Cheetah girl from the show.

Scott-Heron writes,

There are 100,000 signatures on the petition and the number is rising. Many people are responding favorably to the petition on Twitter:

The petition is on track to reach its goal of 150,000 supporters, at which point Barbara Walters will surely get wind of the public's disapproval of Raven and her uncommon opinions.

The question is, will she oblige the call-to-action?
