Another Star From 'Mean Girls' Is Engaged, And We Can't Even Handle It

Paramount Pictures

If there's anything that'll make a millennial feel old, it's another "Mean Girls" star getting married.

That star is Lizzy Caplan, otherwise known as Janis from North Shore High.

Caplan will be tying the knot with British actor Tom Riley, who, not insignificantly, likes to keep a mustache every once in a while, apparently.

Caplan met Riley in London in January 2015 while filming a movie. Riley then proposed to her this past May, E! News reports. As E! mentions, Caplan's engagement to a working actor goes against the ideal scenario she laid out two years ago during this interview will Elle Canada:

I actually romanticize the idea of a stay-at-home dad. Partly because I think that's a very sexy thing, but also because if there are two working actors and both of them get a job and they have a baby, the woman is going to stay with the baby. I see it all the time. It just seems very unfair.

Either Riley's got a career change in his future, or she said "screw you" to those plans.

Oh, and one more thing.

Caplan is getting this rock on her finger at 34 years of age, which is a casual reminder that she is 12 years removed from starring in "Mean Girls" in her early twenties.

And she's the second star from the movie to get engaged just this week. Daniel Franseze, aka Damian, proposed to his partner days ago at a Starbucks.

In other words, we're old now, guys. Deal with it.
