Lorde Hilariously Live-Tweeted Her Uber Driver Not Knowing Who She Was

When you think of Lorde, you typically think of a super-talented, 19-year-old singer who can't walk the streets without being swarmed by paparazzi and fans.

Despite her global recognition as a Grammy award-winning singer, some people still don't know who Lorde is -- even when she's sitting right in backseat of their car.

According to Huffington Post, Lorde live-tweeted a pretty hilarious story of her awkward encounter with an Uber driver who literally had no clue who she was.

It all started when the Uber driver had mentioned that he had just picked up a "celebrity passenger" before accepting Lorde's ride.

Lorde took to Twitter to live-tweet the funny encounter.

She even joked that the Uber driver was unfazed by her presence (which he was).

Then she went into detail.

The hilarious Twitter conversation ended with singer Ellie Goulding chiming in.

Now, imagine being a globally-known celebrity thinking that it's impossible for you to leave your house without people recognizing who you are when, in actuality, the Uber driver you just requested thinks you're just some regular person.

That's got to be awkward. But, hey, at least Lorde was a good sport about it and didn't throw one of those "don't you know who I am" temper tantrums!
