Seinfeld Wanted 'Elaine Gets Fat' Angle When Julia Louis-Dreyfus Was Pregnant

"Seinfeld" fans were treated to an awesome surprise reunion when Julia Louis-Dreyfus guest starred on the season six premiere of Jerry Seinfeld's “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

Throughout the episode, the former costars joked and reminisced about the good old days, but one specific "Seinfeld" memory has everyone laughing.

While addressing Seinfeld, Louis-Dreyfus asked,

Do you remember when I was about five months pregnant with my youngest, big as a house, and you came up to me and you said 'Hey, I have a great idea. How about we write in this season that Elaine just gets fat?'

Laughing, she admitted while she was offended at the time and “burst into tears,” Seinfeld's idea would have made a hilarious plot line.

She conceded,

It was a great idea, and we should've done it.
