A 'Gilmore Girls' Marathon Is Coming To Pump You Up For The Revival

by Hope Schreiber

Start brewing your coffee now, because you're going need it to stay awake and binge-watch all the glory that is "Gilmore Girls" before the big Netflix revival.

The 24-hour a day, 153-hour marathon lovingly dubbed "GilMORE the Merrier Binge-A-Thon" will air on Up from November 18-25.

It's enough to make you feel like Rory Gilmore at the dance marathon.

The marathon will end just before the Netflix premiere of "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."

If you're wondering why you should check it out instead of binging on your own on Netflix, well... Kirk will be there.

On top of Sean Gunn hosting, the marathon will have trivia pop-ups and commentary by the Gilmore Guys. The podcast hosts will even give away prizes.

The executive vice president of Up, Amy Winter, said,

As huge 'Gilmore Girls' fans ourselves, we are thrilled to bring our audience the ultimate binge event. To have Sean host the viewing house as his quirky and beloved character, Kirk Gleason, ensures that we will bring fans all the fun tips, trivia and Gilmore lore with deadpan delivery. We're thrilled to have Stars Hollow's 'man of a thousand jobs,' add this one to his list.

"Gilmore Girls" ran from 2000-2007, and nearly 10 years later Netflix will bring the show back to life for four 90-minute episodes. Each episode will take place with a season, starting with Winter.

Returning from the original cast are Melissa McCarthy, Matt Czuchry, Keiko Agena, Scott Patterson, Yanic Truesdale, Liza Weil, Kelly Bishop, Jarden Padalecki and fan favorite Milo Ventimiglia.
