Ryan Reynolds Says Daughter James Is Great With New Baby
Ryan Reynolds, hottie actor and muse for a song I wrote in college lovingly titled “Staring At Pictures of Ryan Reynolds,” knows how siblings work, so don't even ask.
During an interview with ET, he talked about his eldest daughter, James, and her relationship to her newborn little sister.
The 40-year-old said,
Well, they look alike… You can see that she's [the new baby] sort of a little mini version of our older girl. But, no, it's great. It's like an actually cohesive, working, functioning family. It's amazing to see my older daughter taking care of my younger one. The 'Lion King' was right! The circle of life exists.
Oh, Ry. King of the zingers. At all times. At every waking moment. Zingers for days.
James has been doing a bang-up job as big sister. At GQ's Men of the Year Party at Chateau Marmont on Thursday night, Ryan praised her approach to handling the new baby.
He told E!,
It's her calling. She's great at it.
Last week, he told etalk's Ben Mulroney seeing James connect with her sister is “really kind of profound.”
I just love watching my older daughter take care of the newborn. That's been kind of neat to see.
There's still no news on what Ryan and wife Blake Lively chose to name their latest addition, though he admitted after much deliberation they “settled on the right one.”
Soooo... Casey? Ginger? Blankstongue? Schiffley? Pargarsarus? Billie Jean King? BE. SPECIFIC.
Until Blake's ready to make the big reveal, Ryan's likely keeping his damn mouth shut, especially after spilling the whole can of sloppy, sloppy beans regarding the baby's gender.
Get it together, RyGuy, or you'll get no more sensual, expertly-composed hits from this girl.
OK, FINE. YOU WIN. I'LL WRITE ANOTHER DAMN SONG. I'LL WRITE 400 MORE SONGS. I'LL NEVER STOP WRITING YOU SONGS.
