Cristiano Ronaldo Welcomes Twins Boys Into The World, So Move Over Beyonce
It's the year of celebrities having twins!
Real Madrid and Portuguese national team star Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly just welcomed twins via a surrogate, joining the ranks of Beyoncé and JAY-Z and George and Amal Clooney, who also expanded their families by two in recent weeks.
In a post to his Facebook page on Wednesday, Ronaldo confirmed the news, writing,
The sexes of the babies are unclear at this point, as some outlets are reporting Ronaldo had two sons and others have not specified. According to Mail Online, Portuguese TV channel SIC reported earlier in the week that the surrogate gave birth to a boy and a girl.
Elite Daily reached out to his reps to get confirmation of the sexes, but did not hear back by time of publication.
The confirmation of the news of the twins comes on the heels of the Portugal national team losing to Chile in the semifinals of the Confederation Cup.
The Portuguese Football Federation also confirmed the news in a statement, which read,
The 32-year-old athlete already has one son, 7-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. He has never publicly spoken about who the mother is.
The twins might not be the only additions coming to Ronaldo's family, either. Earlier this week, rumors started flying that his girlfriend, 22-year-old Georgina Rodríguez, is five months pregnant.
Regardless, June 2017 is the month of celebrity twins. On June 6, George and Amal Clooney welcomed Alexander and Ella into the world, and Beyoncé and JAY-Z also met their two new bundles of joy this month.
