It feels like a day doesn't go by when we don't hear about how some celebrity dropped a ridiculous amount of weight by following one easy diet trick, or centering their entire day's meals around one ingredient.
Well, Iggy Azalea just blew that diet crap out of the water with her recent comments on New Zealand radio station Nova 96.9.
In speaking with show hosts Fitzy and Wippa, Iggy Azalea claimed she dropped 15 pounds in one week by simply, wait for it, twerking her booty off — literally!
The 26-year-old Sydney, Australia native recently dropped the music video her new jam, "Mo Bounce," and she said she twerked so much in the making of the video, she managed to shed some serious weight.
Speaking with show hosts Fitzy and Wippa, Iggy Azalea said,
It's a lot — I went on a meal plan before the video because I knew I would have to be dancing fairly skimpily dressed. I did a lot of rehearsals actually, and man I lost 15 pounds in a week dancing to that song!
Iggy has never been one to shy away from the cameras and show the world what she's working with, but she did cop to getting some help with the dance moves for "Mo Bounce."
The 26-year-old said,
I did take classes. I do have someone who is very, very good at twerking, and she helped me. I never realized how flexible you have to be to do that stuff.
I mean, I think Iggy Azalea has the twerking thing down pat, but who am I to judge?
My teacher was like 'I really suggest you take yoga' and I didn't know you had to take yoga to be a twerker, but apparently you do.
"Mo Bounce" dropped at the end of March, with the below music video coming out a short time after that.
