If Donald Trump calls a woman a pig and no one's around to hear it, does it even make America realize we nominated a raging misogynist to run for president?
Luckily, though I'm sure there are many instances of Donald Trump de-humanizing women we haven't heard about, there are also a fair amount we have heard about.
The latest sexist Trump comment to turn up is from a 2009 episode of "Celebrity Apprentice."
And the unlucky recipient? None other than reality star Khloé Kardashian.
In case you're not up on your Kardashian history, Khloé participated in the eighth season of "The Celebrity Apprentice."
She was "fired" by Trump in the sixth episode, supposedly because Trump didn't like the fact she had a DUI under her belt.
According to The Huffington Post, though, multiple sources who worked on the show say moments before Trump filmed the boardroom scene to fire Khloé, he made some rude comments about her appearance.
An editor on the show recalled the backstage conversation, saying,
He basically wanted to just get rid of her. He called her a 'piglet.' [Trump asked:] 'What is this? We can't even get the hot one?'
Another source from the show confirmed the quote, saying Trump said,
Why don't we fire Khloé? She is a fat piglet. Why did we get the ugly Kardashian?
A third source and editor on the show backed up the claim Trump fired Khloé not because of "merit" but because of "him not liking her."
Well, Trump, the feeling is mutual.
In an interview with Chelsea Handler this past July, Khloé said she "really hated" her time on "The Apprentice."
I hated every minute of it... I'm put in these situations I would never be in in real life. I went to homeschool; I don't know how to do a fucking PowerPoint... Stressing myself out, and then dealing with him and about to be fired? I'm like, 'Fuck you, I don't want to do this.'
It's safe to say Trump doesn't have Khloé's vote in the 2016 election. She said,
No, I don't think he'll make a good president.
Well I guess if you're going to go around calling people piglets, you should probably be prepared to lose a few (thousand) votes.
