Blake Lively Had Adorable 'Sisterhood' Reunion With Pregnant Amber Tamblyn
Just on Wednesday, actress Amber Tamblyn and husband, comedian David Cross, announced she was pregnant with her first child.
The very next day, her friend and "Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants" co-star Blake Lively shared this adorable photo of the baby bump on Instagram.
Blake Lively, who also included a picture of Tamblyn and her mother in the side-by-side image (the resemblance is uncanny, right?!), wrote,
'I am asking you to rethink women, period. Go deep. See the frame that holds the big picture...' So proud of my dear friend, and new mama to be, @amberrosetamblyn Check out her piece on @glamourmag. Whatever your beliefs, one thing is certain, the world must be a better, safer place for women and girls. The time is now.
After dating for five years, Tamblyn and Cross, 52, were married in 2012. They are expecting a daughter.
In the piece Lively mentions, Tamblyn wrote for Glamour,
Motherhood has been heavily on my mind because I am going to be a mother soon.
She opened up to her mother about being sexually assaulted by an ex-boyfriend.
Her mother then told her that she had a similar story. And then, at the end of her mother's story, her mother told her what her grandmother said to her,
Boys will be boys. You just have to be really careful around them.
Tamblyn wrote in her moving piece,
I'm pregnant, with a daughter on the way. I think constantly about the world I am bringing her into. Will I get a phone call from my daughter someday, one she never wanted to make? Will I have to share with her my story, and the story of her great-grandmother's words to her grandmother? Is it possible to protect her from inheriting this pain? How much do I have to do, as a daughter and a soon-to-be mother, to change not just the conversation about how women are seen, but the language with which conversations are spoken in?
