There really is nothing quite like the love shared between two best friends.
I'm not talking about the casual love you have for your friends...
I'm talking about that brutally honest, deeply loving, unwavering bond you have with your best friend in the whole wide world.
The one where you can be your totally uncensored self and never have to worry about what the other person thinks about you because DUH, SHE LOVES YOU.
Then there's your relationship with your crush. Not your husband, not your fiancé, not your boyfriend. Your crush.
He's the boy you're still trying to impress, the one you're trying your best to ~play it cool~ with.
Sure, with time, maybe he could become your lover and best friend. But as of now, he is nowhere near friendship territory.
So, while your text convo with your best friend is more like a way too long, totally uncensored, borderline psychotic, never-ending journal entry, your conversation with him is more like an extremely censored, brutally short, carefully planned dialogue between two people with palpable sexual tension.
The difference is pretty hilarious, if you ask me.
Have no idea what I'm talking about?
Well, for all of my ~visual~ learners out there, here are some examples of how your texts to your BFF compare to your texts to your crush:
When they ask you what you're wearing:
When they ask how your day is:
When they send you a lame joke joke:
When they tell you they like you:
When they take longer than 30 seconds to respond:
When they ask if you want to hang out tonight:
When you want to hang out with them:
You're laughing because you know it's true.
EVERYTHING YET NOTHING IS THE SAME.
